Hi there! We are Óli and Attila, two travel guides and golf enthusiasts.
Ólafur Ragnarsson is the son of Ragnar J. Jónsson, a co-founder of “Nesklúbburinn”, one of Iceland’s oldest Golf Clubs, founded in 1964. Ólafur is an experienced mountaineering tour guide, doing private tours in modified 4×4 super jeeps in the highlands of Iceland, as well as VIP tours in Iceland’s stunning nature. He is also a musician, singer and song writer (Musician name “Olafur I Hvarfi”). Ólafur has been around Golf his whole life and loves the game, his best golf buddy is his wife Guðbjörg.
Attila Balatoni is a passionate outdoor enthusiast. Born in Hungary, raised in Canada, he settled in Iceland over a decade ago, where he met his wife and started a family. Attila was captivated by Iceland and has spent the past decade exploring its every corner. He has played key roles in pioneering several tourism ventures in Iceland, including the renowned Bubble hotel.
We formed a close friendship through our many guided tours together. It was Óli who introduced Attila to golf, sparking a new passion in him. To combine our love for Iceland and golf, we decided to offer unique golfing experiences for travelers to Iceland.
